OBITUARY

––––

Albert Newton Adams, son of W. B. and Maggie Adams was born April 26th, 1876, and departed this life July 31st, 1911 at the age of 35 years, 3 months and 5 days. For some time he had been a great sufferer, but all that loving hearts and willing hands could do was done, but there comes a time to each human when earthly remedies and human aid are of no avail. So after many weary and painful hours and sleepless nights death came to his relief, and he calmly fell asleep.

The light has gone out, and the shadow of a great sorrow has settled upon his once cherished home. The associations of life are broken up forever. The voice which spoke to us is heard no more, but he will ever live in our memory.

Although not identified as a member of any church, he was an earnest christian and a firm believer in the teachings of our Saviour. Realizing his critical condition, he demonstrated by his patient suffering, and constantly reading the bible that his help was divine. He was a dutiful son and loving brother, and although home ties were very strong, he was willing and ready to go. He leaves father, mother, five sisters, Mrs. Charles Waltz, Mrs. Cortez Mitchell and Misses Carrie, Opal and Orpha Adams, and one brother, Hal Adams. He was a member of the Odd Fellows’ lodge.

His sunny disposition won for him many friends and, he will be sadly missed. “Now we see through the glass darkly, but sometime we will understand.”

He has entered the Great Beyond, where he needs no more the loving care of those so dear to him, and we commit him to a just and loving Father’s care, knowing He doeth all things well.
