Noah E. Noble, a prominent merchant of Greenwood, was born in Boone County, Ky., August 10, 1828, and was the son of George T. and Louisa (Canby) Noble, with whom he came to the State of Indiana when he was four years old. In May, 1862, he engaged in business for himself in Greenwood, where he has ever since been the proprietor of a large general store. He is now one of the most substantial business men of that town. He was married on Christmas day, 1855, to Ellen Brewer. She was born in Pleasant Township, this county, in November, 1837, and was the daughter of Abram V. and Delilah (Rice) Brewer.
